The next (and last) general game design principles workshop will be held in MU II, on the second floor of the Memorial Union, from 6:10-8:00pm on Thursday, February 26, 2015.
This will be the capstone design workshop for GameCamp!. We will briefly recap the major design principles and strategies covered in GameCamp! workshops over the year. Most of this workshop will be devoted to a trial run of the early stages of a game jam to let students hone their game design skills. We will have you in groups, give you a theme, and set you free to design and flesh out a game idea within a specified time limit.

The purpose of this workshop is to provide an opportunity to work quickly to develop as much of a game idea as possible early in the design process, an important aspect of development in a game jam context.
After this workshop, there will be a series of technical workshops on graphics, modelling, animation, as well as development in the Unity® game engine held in conjuction with Game Dev at Davis. More information about this to come.
